Plumas Pines Resort has been owned and operated by the Geer family for 25 fun and beautiful summers.
 
Glenn Geer purchased the resort in 1999 from the Sperbeck family and, to this day, helps oversee operations with his son Todd. Before acquiring the Pines, Glenn was the owner and operator of Geer Auto Service, a Mercedes repair shop in Chico, CA. Glenn had grown up around Plumas Pines as a child with his parents in the RV park back in the 60s. When Plumas Pines came up for sale, Glenn seized the opportunity to run and own a beautiful resort with so many memories.
 
As a teenager, Todd grew up around the resort wearing flip flops and board shorts playing on the lake daily. Throughout the years, Todd has learned and worked every position around the resort and applies that knowledge in the day-to-day operations. Todd knew at a young age how special the resort was and what it could become with a little love and guidance. In 2008, Todd graduated from CSU, Chico with a B.S. in small business management and entrepreneurship and has been an integral part of the resorts management team since then. In 2012 Todd married his wife, Brooke, at Canyon Oaks Country Club in Chico, and they welcomed their 3 boys into the world in 2016, 2019 and 2022. Brooke graduated from CSU Chico in 2008 with a B.S. in Health Science with an option in Health Education. She later went back to CSU Chico to earn her teaching credential in special education and general education. She has spent time as a special education teacher and is currently a 3rd grade teacher at a local elementary school. Brooke is also a helping hand when needed around the resort. On their days off, you can find this family of five hiking, camping, entertaining friends, boating, and enjoying all that Lake Almanor and surrounding areas have to offer.
 
The Geer family and loyal staff work hard to update and make Plumas Pines cleaner and more inviting every year. Lake Almanor is truly a hidden gem of the Sierra Nevada’s and we hope that Plumas Pines Resort is your destination to escape the grind of everyday life and enjoy a place that is truly special. Guests are welcome to stay for a few hours at the bar and grill or days and weeks at our cabins or RV park.
