There are numerous ice caves near Wilson Lake located off of Hwy 36. These caves provide hours of exploration for those that can withstand tight spaces and cold. This natural landmark is created by lava and goes hundreds of feet into the earth. Lots of ice is on display even during early summer and amazing rock formations are visible year round. To fully enjoy the ice caves, a powerful flashlight and warm clothes are a must. If it’s your first time, it’s recommended that someone show you the way. These caves can be dangerous and hard to find but are well worth the trouble. |
